-
Players must be payed-up CATC members to join the ladder.
-
Players must register on the website in order to join the ladder.
-
On joining, players will have a ranking of 999.
-
A player can challenge anyone within the ladder, but a player need only accept a
challenge from a player within 5 places of their own ranking.
-
If a challenger beats a player with a higher ranking, they take their ranking
and everyone else from the defeated player down moves down a place.
-
Standard rules of tennis apply. The number of games played can be agreed before
the match.
-
The challenger has the responisbility for providing the balls for the game which
should be in a suitable condition.
-
The winner of the toss can choose to serve OR choose ends.
-
The winner has the responsibility for entering the match result on the website
which MUST be entered on the same day as the match. Rankings will then be
updated automatically.
-
Players have the right to refuse a challenge if they have played in the last two
weeks. If you feel someone has refused without a valid reason then please let
someone on the committee know.
-
At the end of September, the player at the top of the ladder will receive a
trophy which they will hold until the following year's result.
-
If there are any problems, such as incorrectly entered results, please contact
Peter Ebdon.

Good luck to everyone!
